Feedback from The Gambia:

We have a standard co-coordinating committee that has been organizing the event for the past several years and has made GDOP an honorable and praise worthy event in the church calendar here – acceptable by most denominations

I wish to report that the global day of prayer event here was successfully held. Even though the attendance was less than last year’s, there was a greater representation of Churches and Pastoral leadership.
The event was again held in another church. It was a miracle that one of the churches that usually secluded itself from communal events opened its doors when the state was delaying our request for the use of the mini-stadium. the lack of assurance on the venue may have contributed to our very low numbers even though we are still hoping that Churches would limit events on Pentecost evenings.
We had a good event in two venues - Serrekunda and Bansang. Reports are yet to come in from other prospective two venues. We were about 150 in these two venues but the attendance in Serekunda was mostly church leaders. Pray with us that a greater population of the membership would be mobilized by their pastors to come.
